Women are still trying to prove that they can be just as effective and impactful of a leader as men. Women are still fighting for their rightful place in the C-Suite. Women are still trying to build a career while navigating well-documented obstacles.
This presentation will provide participants with tips and strategies for navigating through the obstacles women face while trying to build a career in corporate America, and how to position themselves as confident and capable leaders.

DESCRIPTION: There is a long-standing perception that woman don't work well with other women. That depends on the women. As women are working hard to be able to land her dream job or get that promotion that will set her on the right trajectory to reach her ultimate career goal sometimes they find themselves in situations where it feels like they have to compete with other female colleagues. There's a saying "There's only room for one". This is thought to be more the case for Black women. When this is the mindset or the work culture women become obstacles to other women, potentially holding each other back from opportunities to grow.
This presentation will provide participants with insight on how the competitive vs the collaborative mindset impacts women's advancement and recommend strategies for building and growing mutually-beneficial relationships with other women in the workplace. It will highlight effective communications, giving and receive constructive feedback, and collaborating so that everyone wins.
